Install I Checked in about a minute.

I Checked is a progressive web app. You install it straight from your browser — no app store, no account, nothing to sign up for. Once it is on your device it opens from the home screen like any other app and keeps working with no connection at all.

Open app.ichecked.app, then follow the steps for your device

iPhone and iPad

Safari
  1. Open app.ichecked.app in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
  3. Scroll the share sheet down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. I Checked appears on your home screen with its own icon.

Opened the link inside a messenger or a social feed? Use that app’s menu to choose “Open in Safari” first — in-app browsers cannot install web apps.

Android

Chrome
  1. Open app.ichecked.app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose Add to Home screen, called Install app in some versions.
  4. Confirm with Install.

Chrome often offers an install banner at the bottom of the page as well. Tapping it does exactly the same thing.

Computer

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera
  1. Open app.ichecked.app in your browser.
  2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install I Checked.
  3. Confirm with Install. The app gets its own window and appears in your Dock, launcher, or Start menu.

Safari on macOS installs web apps through File → Add to Dock. Firefox cannot install them at all — I Checked still works in a normal tab.

After installing

What changes once it is on your device.

Works with no connection The whole app is stored on your device. Airplane mode, a dead zone, or hotel Wi-Fi makes no difference.
Opens like an app Its own icon and its own window, no address bar in the way, and your lists exactly where you left them.
Updates stay quiet A new version downloads in the background. You get one calm prompt and decide when to apply it.
No timed notifications A browser cannot deliver a reminder while it is closed, so the installed web app never sends one. Open your list when you head out.
If something looks off

A few things people ask.

There is no “Add to Home Screen” in the share sheet.

You are most likely in an in-app browser rather than Safari itself. Open the page in Safari, tap Share, and scroll the list of actions down — the entry sits below the row of apps.

The install option never appears in Chrome.

Chrome hides it when the app is already installed, so check your home screen first. It also needs the page to be open at https://app.ichecked.app rather than a copy of it.

Do my lists survive a reinstall?

Treat them as living on that one device. Removing the installed app can clear its local storage, so export a backup from Settings before you reinstall or switch phones, then import it afterwards.

Do I need an account to install it?

No. There is no account, no email, and no sign-in anywhere in I Checked — installing it is the whole setup.

Will there be an App Store or Google Play version?

I Checked is a web app today, and the whole product is built that way. If enough people ask for native builds, we will make them — write to support@ichecked.app.
