Terms of Use

1. What I Checked is

I Checked is an offline checklist app that helps you make one deliberate pass through a list of items — such as things to check before leaving home — and keeps a local, timestamped record that you did so.

2. What I Checked is not

I Checked does not monitor, sense, or verify the physical state of any door, appliance, lock, vehicle, utility, or home. It records your own confirmation only. Do not rely on the app as a substitute for physically checking something yourself, and do not use it for safety-critical, medical, or emergency purposes.

3. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use I Checked on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms.

4. Your content

Checklists, items, and history you create belong to you. We don't claim ownership of your content and, since it's stored only on your device, we generally have no access to it at all.

5. Your responsibilities

• Use the app only for lawful purposes;
• Keep your device and any exported backup files reasonably secure;
• Understand that local storage can be lost if a device is lost, reset, or damaged, and that keeping backups is your responsibility;
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misrepresent the app as your own.

6. No warranty

I Checked is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of loss of data.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the app or this website, including — without limitation — any reliance on a completed checklist that turns out not to reflect the true state of whatever you checked.

8. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update I Checked, this website, or these terms over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Termination

Since there's no account, there's nothing for us to terminate on our side. You can stop using the app at any time by removing it from your device.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Belarus, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Republic of Belarus, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
